The first Rotary Club was founded in 1905 by Paul P. Harris, an attorney in Chicago, as a service organization where professionals could exchange ideas and form lifelong friendships. The Paul Harris Fellow recognition, established in 1957, acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, in the amount of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Adam Howard has a long history with the Florence Rotary Club, beginning with a Florence Rotary Scholarship when he graduated from Boone County High School, up through his current role as Club President. Adam is an agent with KY Farm Bureau Insurance. He and his wife, Annette, live in Union where they are raising five children.
Pamela Goetting is a Senior Vice President with Heritage Bank and has been a Rotarian and active member of the Florence Club since 2011. She serves as the Chair of the Publicity Committee and was recently elected to be President in the 2016-2017 year. Pam and her husband, Mark, live in Hebron.
Mark Willoughby became a Rotarian in 2006. He is an account development manager with Herman Miller. Mark graduated from NKU and lives in Villa Hills.
Eb Wilkinson is a retired marine officer. He is a graduate of Purdue University, a 4th generation Rotarian, Past President of the Tucson Rotary club and the Managing Director of Imas Wilkinson, an investment management firm.
Stephanie Potter became a Rotarian in 2012. Stephanie is the President and founder of Robs Kids, a charitable organization devoted to supporting the youth in our community that suffer with post traumatic stress disorder and severe depression, and they provide suicide prevention services.
Adele Williams and Peggy Gladwell of the Lakeside Christian Church Revive Ministry are sponsored by John and Connie Salyers. The Revive Ministry program benefits women transitioning out of addiction into positive life affirming choices.
Patty Raverty is a professor at Thomas Moore College where she founded the communications department. Her membership was sponsored by her husband of 35 years, Pat, a longtime member of Rotary, and active in service organizations and local government.
Rick Hayden became a Rotarian in 2008. He and Patty, his wife of 33 years, live in Union and he owns a Shelter Insurance Agency in Florence. In addition to his service to Rotary, Rick is the Assistant Council Commissioner for the Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Karen Zerhusen Kruer has been a Rotarian for 15 years and became an active member of the Florence Club in 2011. She and her husband Tom live in Edgewood with their two dogs. Karen is the Executive Director of the Northern Kentucky University Foundation.
Rhonda Hancock joined the club in 2010, and is the leader of the Scholarship Committee, a member of our Board of Directors and is the President Elect for 2015-2016. Rhonda serves as First Church early childhood pastoral director.
